I never thought I would end up writing one of these posts, but after reading this forum I realized I'm far from the only customer this has happened to.
Today I had my internet installation appointment. I stayed at home during the entire appointment window because I knew the technician could arrive at any time. My phone was switched on the whole time, with sound enabled, and I was expecting a call if needed.
Instead, I later found out that the appointment had been marked as if the technician was unable to contact me.
The problem is: no one contacted me.
No phone call. No SMS. No voicemail. No one rang my doorbell. Nothing.
As a result, I now have to wait until next week for another appointment. By then I'll already be back at work, meaning I won't even be able to be there myself—only my wife will be at home. To make matters worse, I'll probably run out of mobile data before my home internet is installed, all because of an appointment that failed through no fault of my own.
After searching this forum, I can see that I'm not the first person this has happened to. That's honestly disappointing. Customers arrange their day around these appointments, yet a simple "couldn't reach the customer" seems to be enough to close the visit.
Has anyone here managed to get Proximus to send a technician back the same day or the next day instead of making you wait another week? I'd really appreciate hearing how your case was resolved.
