Belgacom.net - Cannot access account


Unable to log into my belgacom.net account since October 25th.

Outlook won’t sync and if I try to log in via web page, I get the error message, ‘Unknown error’.

This account is very important in my life.

Can you help?

It is for my wife’s account I can provide the details here or personally (begins with ‘k’)

Incidentally, I cannot reset the password without creating a MyProximus account.

I cannot create a MyProximus account without verifiying my email.

I cannot verify my email because I cannot access my email!

Hello ​@ruoccop, we cannot provide you with this type of information. Your wife can visit a Proximus Shopcenter with her ID card to resolve this issue.

We live in the US and I am former Belgacom (PER0xxxxxx). I set this account up.

It is not possible to get to a Proximus shopcenter,

Can you send an email to her recovery account email address so she can prove who she is?

Not sure if you did anything or not, but it started to work again.

We will set up a MyProximus account to avoid further issues in the future.

Actually, another question.

How do I create a new MyProximus account without a Belgian phone number so we can avoid this type of ‘Unable to help’ problem in future?

 

These email addresses have been used for over 20 years old and are used in all aspects of our lives.

It seems ridiculous that I am unable to get support on them.

@ruoccop This isn't possible; you need a workaround, such as a trusted person with a Belgian phone number. Once the account is created, you can choose two-factor authentication via an app so you don't have to rely on that phone number every time you log in to My Proximus.

Well that’s not going to happen after 17 years away!

Can multiple accounts be linked to a single (my existing) MyProximus account?

I have 7 or 8 Belgacom accounts to try and safeguard.

Surely I don’t need an individual account for each of them?

This is also not possible it's one MyProximus account per customer account.

But when you talk about multiple Belgacom accounts, you're referring to aliases associated with a single primary Belgacom email address.

No, I have multiple accounts for myself and kids and wife and even family accounts.

Would I be able to use a BEL Google Voice account to set up MyProximus?
