Somebody help me please, I’ve been paid for an internet MAX which the max speed limit is 100 MB, OK.
People use to say that it is impossible to reach the total speed; I totally agree with this. However, my internet speed is 4 MB. It's impossible to open an email, work, study…. Please, somebody, help me out.

@Luiz Albuquerque What speed does the Proximus tool give you at your address? https://www.proximus.be/en/id_cr_intspeedt/personal/internet-subscriptions-for-all/choose-your-option/speedtest-internet-connection.html?#/input

Products

Internet MaxiInternet Start

Advertised speed

up to 350 Mbps download - up to 30 Mbps upload

Maximum speed

up to 210 Mbps download - up to 23,7 Mbps upload

Normally available speed

The actual available speed will be communicated via MyProximus after activation of your Internet connection.

Unlimited download volume, also in a Pack.

It would be good if it were real.

The speedtest of 4 Mbps above has it be done in WiFi or via utp/ethernet cable?

The info above of 210/24 Mbps concerns a fiber connection (internet Max fibre), maybe fiber is not yet in service at your location but planned to become available soon

Probably only Proximus collaborators on this public forum will be able to clarify the situation of your access line and to help you to solve the problem (in case a Bbox3 reset already has been done and the speedtest has been done via cable)

Thanks for your help. Answering your questions.

  • Yes. I already test the connection using a cable; there are almost no differences noticeable.
  • Yes. I already shut down my modem too many times.
  • On the Proximus website, I verified the fiber availability in my address, and to my surprise is available.
I will wait for someone from the company can help me.

Hello @Luiz Albuquerque

Could you fill in your private profile with your customer number or line number?

Done.

Hello @Luiz Albuquerque,

After some verifications, I changed your line profile to your correct profile is 16.5mb in the vdsl2 technology instead of 4.6mb in adsl.

You’ve probably seen some issues this morning, that was my manipulations to change your speed profile

I invite you to test your new speed and return giving your feedback to us:relaxed:

@ Proximus

The Proximus website info below seems to be indicating fiber should be availbale (soon) at the auteurs address, no?

Thanks, @Cédric B, for your help, definitely; my speed connection has changed from 4.6 to 14 Mb. Therefore, I believe that still too low for Internet MAX.

I will wait two weeks more if my connection doesn’t increase at least 60Mb, I will change my provider.

Kind regards,

Luiz Albuquerque

Sorry to say that Luiz but on the VDSL2, it’ll be never the 60 mbps. You’re on a profile 16.5 mbps et the maximum capacity of the line is 35 mbps. So the DLM could upgrade to 25 mbps but not more

But in the futur, the Fiber ‘ll be available ;)
